2 Year Old Paige

My name is Jo Ramey and I am the great aunt to the sweetest little 2 year old I know. Her name is Paige R. Doutre She has been diagnosed with Pearsons Syndrome. Pearson's Syndrome is a rare disorder that affects many different organ systems. Children with this syndrome have anemia, trouble with their ability to absorb nutrients, and trouble with their ability to regulate electrolytes in their bodies. They may also have variable amounts of liver, kidney, and endocrine (hormonal) failure. At the age of two, Paige has had about 25-30 blood transfusions and been in the hospital many times. This most recent admission has been going on now for about 6 weeks. She is very week. She only weighs 17 pounds. The doctors at this hospital do not know alot about PS. I believe they are doing the best they can for her. Our understanding is that there are only about 64 cases world wide. I would like you all to pray for our little PAIGE.
