Bedtime Story

I would like to submit my story for your appreciation. I am witness that it is true.

A friend of mine died 11 years ago in a car accident. He had a child, a little girl who was 3-years-old at that time. He was a single father. The girl did not have a mother, just her dad. Every night she could not sleep without listening to a story. My friend had to tell her a story, anything like a fairytale, every single night or she refused to sleep. Once I was in his house late at night and took her to bed and she wouldn't sleep unless I told her a story. I made up some silly story, but it worked and she fell asleep. When her father died, she did not feel bad, maybe because she could not understand what happened, she was too young. After that she went to live with her grandmother and nobody paid attention at her when it was time to sleep. Sometime later I visited her and we started talking. I asked her if she had been sleeping well and weirdly she said "yes". She said every night her father told her a story and she slept well. I was curious and asked her if she had seen her father and she confirmed to me; 'Yes, yesterday my father was beside my bed and he told me a story as he does every night'.
