Zoe

My daughters name is Zoe Ann Zwolenik. She is 7 years old. She suffers from a very rare chromosome disorder that we just learned about. She has a duplication on Chromosome 17. There are only 6 others with this in the world. For years she always seemed a little behind than others her age but we just tried a little harder at things. Once she entered preschool the gaps really showed. She has been diagnosed as being mentally retarded because of the chromosome 17 duplication.

She suffers from pervasive development disorder which is a form of autism. She has seizures and needs to see a speech therapist, physical therapist and occupational therapist to help with daily functions. She has the heart and soul of an angel. Her main concern is always for others. She hates for anyone to be sad or upset.

Some days I think she is my strength that gets me through all her troubles. I believe in God and all his miracles and I have been praying for one with Zoe. I would be forever grateful if you could pass this message along to others and ask for their prayers as well. Together Jesus will hear us all and do what he feels is right.
