SIDE BY SIDE
Side by side, they hung on a cross - One man saved, the other lost
One stood on faith, the other fell - A life of sin, they knew too well.
One called to Christ, the other quiet - One faced the dark, the other, light
Between these men a voice was heard - The Son of God had spoke a word.
Today, you'll be with Me, said He, to the one who sought Him out
By faith, you'll dwell in Paradise - You've learned what life's about.
To the other, He just bent His head, with sorrow in His heart
I called to you - You turned away - Now forever we must part.
These two men were found again upon the Judgment Day
One robed in white and shining bright - The other, disarrayed.
Too late for words and crying pleas - No use to get upon your knees
You had a choice, to live or die - You lost your soul, now it's goodbye.
We go through life so casually - But soon, we'll face eternity
Today's the day to sound your voice ---
For, tomorrow, you may have no choice.
A passing glance could find you gone into a world you've never known
Christ gave you life from upon His Cross ---
The choice is yours ---
Are you saved or lost?
